Sweet, Sticky and Spicy
This chicken may look messy but it tastes oh so good! Definitely not for anyone who doesn't like getting down and dirty!!!!
Ingredients:
4-5 Boneless chicken thighs (or boneless and skinless breasts works fine, too)
2 tsp creole seasoning
1 tbsp minced, garlic
1 tsp ginger, minced
¼ cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp parsley
2 tbsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
Directions:
Step 1
Season chicken with salt, and creole seasoning; set aside.
Step 2
Then heat a Cast Iron or skillet over medium high heat; brown chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through about 5-7 minutes per side, turning frequently , if needed for even cooking. Or until chicken turns pink or reached 165 degrees F Set chicken aside.
Step 3
In a small bowl combine honey, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper and vinegar. Set aside.
Step 4
Add garlic and ginger to the pan the cast iron quickly stir for about 30 seconds, be careful not to let it burn ,cause it might alter the flavor.
Step 5
Return chicken thighs back to the pan.
Step 6
Quickly pour in honey mixture , continue to cook the chicken for about a minute while the sauce reduces to a thicker consistency , turn chicken around to coat in sauce , turn off the heat, garnish with parsley.
Serve with white rice and/or with vegi's
